Ingredients:
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 800ml apple juice
Method:
1. In a saucepan over a medium-low heat, whisk together the apple juice, cinnamon sticks, allspice, ginger, ground cloves, nutmeg and salt. Bring to a simmer and cook gently for 2-3 minutes, then remove from the heat.
2. Pour the apple juice through a sieve into a jug and discard the solids. Serve in mug sand garnish with cinnamon sticks.
TOP TIP: If desired, you can spike individual portions with Hennessy cognac or Caption Morgan’s spiced rum.
