Chocolate Christmas Tree Lollipops

Ingredients:
  • 200g milk chocolate
  • 8 pretzel sticks
  • Green & Red M&M's
  • Festive sprinkles
Method:

1. Fill a heat-proof bowl with boiling water. Add the chocolate bars (still in the wrappers) to the bowl. Leave them to sit for roughly two minutes until the chocolate is completely melted.
2. Now you can get the kids involved. Line a tray with parchment paper. Lay the pretzel sticks out evenly on the tray ensuring there’s space for each chocolate tree.
3. Remove the first chocolate batch from the bowl of water and snip one corner of the wrapper. Take care not to snip too much of the wrapper. You want the hole to be just big enough to squeeze the melted chocolate through.
4. Gently squeeze the chocolate bar so the chocolate comes out in a steady stream and draw a Christmas tree shape over each pretzel stick starting with the smallest point at the top and zig-zagging from side to side, gradually getting wider until there’s about 4cm of the pretzel stick left at the end. Take care not to leave any gaps in the chocolate.
5. Decorate the chocolate trees with edible decorations of your choice. Green and red M&Ms and sprinkles work well, but you could use anything.
6. Allow to sit in a cool dry place until the chocolate is set. Be patient – it will be worth it.
